Biba desktop screen share

Along with our Windows and Macintosh announcement, we managed to sneak in the next most requested feature in this release - desktop screen sharing. Here’s how it works:

• Windows and Mac users can start sharing their screen from a call in one click.
• All Biba app users will be alerted and can view the presenter's screen.
• Meeting attendees without the Biba app automatically receive a link to view the screen from their web browser. No plug-ins needed.

We’ve designed Biba screen sharing to be simple to start, but powerful to use. Everyone on the app sees the full meeting roster, with detail on who’s talking and who’s viewing the screen share. Others can step in and start sharing their screens at any time.

We’ve got some ideas lined up to improve the screen share feature - but we’d also love your feedback. What features would most improve your screen share meetings? What could make Biba work better for you?

Biba for the Desktop

Biba is now here for Windows and Macintosh! The Windows and Macintosh apps have all the same calling and messaging features as your Biba smartphone app, so you can switch easily throughout the day. Desktop apps have been our #1 most requested feature - very happy to get this in your hands.

Conversations and Notifications

 

In pilot testing, one difference we found from our mobile apps was how much more time our users spent in our persistent chat rooms and messaging. So, on both Windows and Mac, we’ve used a full window to showcase tabbed conversations, allowing our users to jump in and out of different threads quickly.

And to make your time more efficient, we’ve flagged those conversations that need your attention - where you’ve missed a call, been mentioned in a room, or simply have unread messages to catch up on.

Still no dial-ins and passcodes

There are still no dial-ins and passcodes with the Biba app. You’ll be called on your Windows and Mac apps, and when you join, you’ll see the familiar call roster from our smartphone apps. See who’s joined, who’s talking, mute them if needed - all with Biba’s HD sound.
